Production Progress and New Products

All of the raw materials and hardware have arrived in Vietnam and are being cut and prepared by our manufacturer. Manufacturing will start as soon as the products are prepared and should be finished and shipped to us by the middle of May. If there are any delays, we will air freight the bags from Vietnam to us to ship them on schedule. We are doing everything we can to ship these bags on time, if that requires that we pay more air freight the bags then that is what we will do. We are super excited to ship the bags and we can’t wait for you to get them.
Some of you might have noticed, that we are going to launch a new product on Kickstarter next week. Our new product is the Convenient Minimalist Wallet. We wanted to launch this new product a month ago, but we held off until production started for the Weekender so we didn’t have any mistakes with production along the way. We have structured this campaign to end before the products will arrive in the U.S. so we will have enough time to prepare for shipping out all of the bags.
Below is our new wallet. We used the same high quality leather for this wallet that we are using for the Modern Day Briefcase and the Weekender. The wallet is designed to have the slim design of a minimalist wallet but allow for easy access to cards.

We are about a month away from starting production! We have received our golden sample.

There were a couple of small changes that we have made to the final product that you might have noticed:
- The laptop sleeve is longer to make sure it fits upto a 15-inch laptop.
- We turned the pocket next to the laptop sleeve into two pockets, so that stuff would not get lost.
- We added waterproof vinyl to the Dopp Kit to help stop liquids from spilling out onto the bag.
- The zipper on the sock and underwear bag has been changed to come down the sides for easy access.

Production and Backerkit

I have Just a quick update on production and getting the Backerkit surveys filled out. We are working on collecting all of the hardware and fabric for production. Once all of the hardware and fabric has been collected, we will start production. For this reason, if you have not filled out your Backerkit profile, please do it soon because it is difficult to order materials and hardware with incomplete numbers which cause us to guess and estimate on quantities.
Once again, thank you for believing in us and this project. We are super excited to deliver this amazing bag to our awesome backers.
